Last week, as part of our continual drive to be closer to our customers, we chose to use our state-of-the-art training facilities in Colchester to host a session on ‘The Digital Step Change – End clients, projects and programmes in the digital economy’.
Our speaker, Rodney Barkworth (Client Focus Associates, rabarkworth.com) offered us the perspective of a business-focussed 20+ year SAP programme veteran and in doing so, encouraged our SAP team to share our experiences as we covered the business requirements and catalysts behind SAP’s ever widening product offering.
The session covered the business and technology sides of the ‘demands of big data’, ‘age of the disruptors’, ‘drive towards agility’ and the importance of ‘differentiating your back office only where it matters’. We received an overview of the different implementation scenarios, and the consequential demand for more change manager-based skillsets (subscription based offerings), in addition to the ‘traditional’ configuration and coding skillsets clients continue to request. With his hybrid skillset, Rodney talked us through the functional consulting, project management, solution architecture and business process management components of these discussions with clarity and a genuine passion for business-focussed technology.
It was great to see our entire SAP consulting team sharing current and past client experiences, and ultimately understanding how we can help our clients make the most of this digital economy. As such, it leaves us to say that for our existing client base – we look forward to providing you with the same great service. At the same time, we sincerely welcome SAP’s new clients, those who are using some or all of SAP’s cloud-based technologies! We warmly anticipate working with you to make your business simpler, faster and more agile in 2017.
