Details: Whitehall Resources require a SAP Data Controller to manage and control the creating of masterdata for a end-user in the North-East. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation of master data and the management of the data input process for SAP as required for any new materials and products. And any changes by co-ordinating the various departments and ensuring that all data required is accurately maintained with the highest level of integrity to the required timescales. To be considered for this role you must have prior experience work with SAP Masterdata. Required Skills: Previous experience of SAP master data creation. Preferably educated to HND standard, with well developed communication skills. Highly PC literate with a good knowledge of word, excel, powerpoint. Accurate keyboard skills. The role holder must be numerate, literate and articulate. Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills are essential. Responsible for co-ordination of cross-functional teams but with no authority, therefore requiring excellent influencing and leadership skills. The role holder must be self motivated, well organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy plus good time management skills. The role holder must be able to demonstrate leadership. Tasks to be Performed: To ensure the timely introduction of any changes to current master data. The Data Controller will be fully accountable for complex master data maintenance and be required to report status at the relevent meetings. They will govern any master data changes or master data creation in order to satisfy the business requirements. To create a change request within SAP only on receipt of the relevent change documentation. The role holder will need to understand which master data will need to be changed on receipt of a change control notification or approved change control to ensure smooth set up of new products, materials and components. To select the required objects to change by consulting with the appropriate department. Approve the change request and convert to a change order. To drive each change through to completion with the aid of the various departments. To co-ordinate all departments and their input to ensure planned production start dates are adhered to. The role holder must be able to use their knowledge and experience to challenge data where necessary. Check the changes are correct and then release the change objects for final approval by QA which the Data Controller will drive. To co-ordinate any issues with master data and review proposed fixes with the relevent stakeholders.
