Oracle Cloud Technical Project Manager

Oracle Cloud Technical Project Manager required by Whitehall Resources for an initial 6 month contract in London.

Skills / Experience Required:

* Ensures that delivery is technically coherent and meets required technical standards as regards integration of the cloud based solution into the councils IT infrastructure.
* Act as the point of co-ordination between the client, the systems integration partner (SI) and other technology teams including the corporate ICT team and third party supplier.
* Work collaboratively with the SI, project team and internal stakeholders to support each phase of the implementation to time and quality; working with the SI to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages.
* Ensures that the technical aspects of system security are set up in line with the requirements of the corporate ICT policy
* Specifies non-functional requirements for the new system including the ownership of the business continuity plan and procedures for planned system downtime for Oracle functionality upgrades.
* Develop plans to ensure all necessary preparation and execution tasks and dependencies are included.
* Manage all aspects of specific work packages.
* Work with stakeholders to ensure Design; Delivery; Technical Build; testing; reporting requirements etc are managed and delivered to date and time.
* Work with key stakeholders to manage the deployment of all aspects of the project assigned to Identify and mitigate potential risks for delivery of products
* Ensure there are resources and skills within the sub-projects for which responsible
* Operate as a full member of the team; supporting the Programme manager and other team members as directed to project manage all aspects of specific work packages
* Manage communications with all stakeholders
* Manage risks to the programmes successful outcome
* Completion of the high level plan through to Go Live and BAU handover.
* Point of contact for all escalated technical issues.
* Identifies and owns technically based risks.
* Oversees data migration and manages escalated issues.
* Manages the technical process of ongoing report setup and production, managing internal council resources to support using the Oracle Cloud reporting toolset.
* Manages the technical setup of interfaces with the new system and owns issues arising, working with the SI and other technical stakeholders to resolve.

Key experience/skills:

* Proven experience working with Oracle Cloud or Oracle ERP and with knowledge of managing data migration exercises and setting up and maintaining interfaces and their associated controls with other systems.
* Knowledge of Oracle or Oracle Cloud reporting tools, their setup and management to support regular and ad hoc reporting requests
* Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling a technical project workstream within a wider programme
* Good knowledge of programme and project management methods eg Agile/PRINCE2
* Experience in the delivery of projects; with particular emphasis on the management of suppliers and stakeholders
* Experience of governance and risk control frameworks
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Experience of stakeholder management at all levels, including senior stakeholder management
* Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must be a team player and able to work with and through others
* Able to grasp and articulate the project vision and objectives quickly and efficiently and positively communicate this with the project team and its stakeholders.
