Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Programme Manager to work with a key client based in Essex

Job Description:

* Schedule management, ensuring that projects develop and maintain consistent schedules in Clarity/Open Workbench across the programme
* Financial management, accountable for the programme cost base, monitor the overall budget, providing guidance and early notice of any variations from approval and forecast
* Risk management, act as an escalation route for projects and proactively reduce risk to the programme and project deliveries, ensure that severe or unstable risks and critical dependencies are communicated to relevant stakeholders
* Change management, ensure that project proposals and Change Requests have full business justification, establish and maintain control and governance over the project and programme approval process, ensuring that the necessary financial and delivery reviews take place and all approvals are received
* Customer management, act as a single point of contact for senior members of the client and stakeholders, use a high level of commercial awareness to provide guidance to projects within the programme, build a professional relationship with the client Programme Manager, work with the clients senior management team to enable the business to realise the full value of the programme and takes advantage of any further business propositions
* Resource management, work with resource managers to fully resource the programme team and accurately forecast and record staff demand and costs, agree assignments and provide reviews in a timely manner, ensure that HR policies are adhered to and that team members are released when no longer required by the programme, actively mentor and coach others within the programme
* Proposal management, excellent commercial awareness, provide a level of governance over the front end and approvals process to ensure the full business justification and ongoing funding of the programme, establish and maintain a Project Steering Group to oversee the projects within the programme
* Communication management, chair regular programme and ad-hoc meetings, identify key stakeholders for the programme and manage these relationships, report programme progress to line management, client and the account leadership team, where necessary provide clear and concise escalations and engage key parties to deal with escalations from the projects within the programme, disseminate communications and information from senior levels amongst the projects within the programme and act as a single source of programme information for senior parties within the account and client organisations.
* Implementation management, provide advice on the most effective business change practices and advise projects and stakeholders on progress and performance, act as an enabler to the projects and provide a degree of oversight during the execution of the projects, lead the programme and arbitrate between projects within the programme over cross project dependencies and contentions
