AWS Data Architect
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for an AWS Data Architect based in Lithuania and surrounding countries for an initial 6 Month Contract.
Project description:
This project is for a major telecommunications company. As AWS Data Architect, the chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions.
General position overview:
The role of the AWS Data Architect is to work with the team to design, develop and implement data solutions in an efficient and scalable way. The candidate will be responsible for migrations from legacy systems to AWS Redshift, Integrations with various systems.
Candidate’s responsibilities:
- Analytics faced data modelling in redshift.
- Ensure proper integrations with other systems
- SAS data warehouse process unbundling and migration to cloud.
Requirements:
- Proven record of accomplishment of acting as a solution architect in this field, resulting in successful solution implementations
- Experience from architecting end-to-end IT solutions supporting operational business processes, i.e., not only for analytics use cases
- Experience in data modelling and building databases.
- Hands-on competence of our key technologies, which include Oracle PL/SQL, Python, SAS, SAP, big data stack, AWS services, including AWS S3, DynamoDB, Redshift/Spectrum, Athena.
- Apache Hadoop
- Experience with data management, data modeling and data warehousing.
- Good knowledge of DevOps, DataOps and MLOps
- Infrastructure as code(IaC)(Terraform, Terraform CDK, AWS CDK, Cloudformation).
- Security: AWS IAM(RBAC, ABAC); Encryption at rest; Encryption in motion, etc..Have awareness of security protocols
- Proven record of accomplishment of acting as a solution architect in this field, resulting in successful solution implementations
- Experience from architecting end-to-end IT solutions supporting operational business processes, i.e., not only for analytics use cases
- Good knowledge in Data Governance principles and awareness on concepts of Data Quality, Data lineage and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) principles
- Good knowledge in system integration, e.g., API and message bus technologies
Nice to have:
- Near real time data implementation in AWS.
- Familiarity with Pros and cons for incremental vs iterative DWH development.
- Scaled Agile Framework.
