Whitehall Resources are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer for an initial 10 month contract with a client in Sweden. Candidates can work 100% remotely for this role.

Job description:
– Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions using Python.
– Be the Kubernetes expert, ensuring the seamless deployment and scaling of our Kafka Streaming solution
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize data pipelines, analytics platforms, and machine learning models.
– Leverage your Kafka knowledge to architect and maintain high-throughput data streaming systems.
– Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within our team.

Essential Skills/ Experience:
– Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with a strong background in Python development.
– Extensive expertise in Kubernetes, including hands-on experience with container orchestration, scaling, and management.
– Bonus points for experience with Kafka, stream processing, and real-time data pipelines.
– Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
