Whitehall Resources are currently recruiting for a Radio/ Wireless Technology Architect – SC Cleared to join our client in Barrow In Furness working once a week onsite with the remainder remote. The candidate must hold active SC Clearance.
Role Description:
As part of this role, the architect is expected to provide technical leadership equivalent or above Radio/ Wireless Architect; visit, interview and prepare documentation as mentioned above; engage with key stakeholders such as Technical SMEs of customer, Project managers, and Capgemini Architect colleagues of IP and Security, and work on to document As-Is state of connectivity infrastructure in factory campus. They will be ultimately accountable for these areas to ensure quality of Discovery report is delivered to the customer of facility, in a highly collaborative and technically excellent manner.
Skills and Experience:
– The current connectivity solution/ infrastructure is to be assessed against use case requirements to identify gaps.
– The objective of this Discovery phase of campus assessment is to define Problem statement and Requirement documentation:
– Site Survey and Site assessment document
– Coverage Requirements
– Current Connectivity Estate
– Current device Ecosystem
– Use-case connectivity requirements
– Proven experience of leading a technical team to design access and core mobile networks, with expertise on the current best practice and technology roadmaps
– Have broad knowledge and practical experience in modern mobile network infrastructure architecture and solutions in a commercial context, including virtualisation, network and service orchestration, radio disaggregation, service-based architecture, transport architectures.
– Knowledge of system integration patterns, management, and monitoring solutions for networks, including cloud-based solutions for network management. Experience of application of these in real deployments.
– Excellent technical acumen and understanding of the emerging technical trends in the industry.
– Proven experience of working with Standardisation Organisation (SDOs) such ETSI, 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, IEEE, IETF, etc.
– Proven track record on leading collaborative research projects
– Experience in Tools like MS Office, Visio
– Wireless domain knowledge in WiFi, 3G, LTE, 5G technologies
– Understanding of Radio Resource Management, Channel Allocation, Scheduling Algorithm Conceptualization & Development
