SAP Programme Manager – SuccessFactors

We are looking for a SAP SuccessFactors Programme Manager to join our client in their office in Aberdeen on a contract basis.

The business are embarking on a programme of work to transition their current ERP system business processes from SAP ECC6 to SAP S4 and SAP SuccessFactors.

The programme will be split into two linked programmes as follows: the Finance and SCM scope moves to S4 and the HR scope moves to SuccessFactors. Both programmes will run in parallel, be closely linked in strategy and execution and report into single joint Programme Direction and Executive Steering groups. The S4 programme started early 2023 with the SuccessFactors programme due to start late November 2023.

The SuccessFactors programme will be a one-year duration following a Greenfield, Fit to Standard approach. Modules in-scope for design and deployment are Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Learning, Succession, Performance.

The business will engage a Service Integrator (SI) and Change Management organisation to work with our IT and Business teams to design, build, test and deploy the SuccessFactors solution.

The SuccessFactors Programme Manager role will work for IT within the overall programme to provide leadership, management and governance across the various groups and organisations engaged to deliver this business critical programme for the client.

What will you be doing?

Own the planning and design of the programme and proactively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
Effectively manage programme scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful delivery and realisation of programme benefits
Lead and direct the programme to ensure high levels of functional and technical integration are achieved across internal and external teams
Define, with the SI partner, and put in place the programme’s governance arrangements
Lead the PMO team and be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of their delivery and reporting into the joint ERP Programme Direction and subsequently the joint ERP Programme steering group
Engage and manage the vendors/partners to deliver the planned services, deliveries and outcomes managing third party contributions to the programme
Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme – focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, business and technical compliance
Work with the internal business change managers and third-party change team to ensure a successful transition to the new system and ways of working
Promote and embed strong leadership, positive behaviour and culture within the client and third-party teams

Proven Project Management experience in deployment and/or integration of HR Systems/Process in a large global organisation
Proficiency in the entire lifecycle of a HR system implementation encompassing design, configuration, testing, maintenance and support
Prior experience of integrating HR solutions to either SAP ECC6 or S4/HANA
Ability to work collaboratively with another programme team (S4 programme) and report into a joint Programme Director team
Gravitas, experience and knowledge to drive respect and trust from senior business leadership and executives and third-party senior stakeholders
Experience in managing large programme finances, scope, quality and delivery timescales
Strong communications skills both verbally and written
Pro-active, self-driven, forward looking, collaborative, good analytical and problem-solving skill
Good communication and negotiation skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders
Ability to create and drive a culture of respect and co-operation across a large and diverse group of internal and external teams
Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
Knowledge of project management and programme methods, such as PRINCE2 and PMP
SuccessFactors deployment experience preferred
