SCOM Monitoring Analyst

Whitehall Resources require an SCOM Monitoring Analyst to work with a key client on an initial 4 month contract.

*The successful candidate will be required to operate through an FCSA accredited umbrella company.

*This role will require on site work in Glasgow 1-2 times per week.

SCOM Monitoring Analyst

Role Description:
* Proficient in SCOM Administration up to and including SCOM 2019
* Dashboard creation
* View configuration
* Root cause analysis/troubleshooting
* General tool management (including upgrade, certificate management and DR)
* Technical knowledge of network, environmental, hardware, storage, operating systems, and applications.
* Familiar with physical, virtual and cloud environments

Reasonable understanding of the following technologies:
* SCOM
* Red Hat Linux
* AIX
* Java
* SQL
* Windows Server
* Windows ADDS/DNS
* HPE OneView
* VMware

* Design, implementation, and life-cycle management of SCOM
* Ability to create service centric dashboards
* Utilising SCOM’s capabilities for automation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and support
* Able to populate company knowledge into events
* PowerShell scripting desirable
* Able to install and manage admin packs
* Familiar with integrating other event management tools in to SCOM or vice versa
* Familiar with SCOM reporting
* Problem solving skills
* Analytical Skills
* Relationship management
