Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Global Market Access And Pricing Director based in Cambridge for an initial 6 month contract.

Description:

The GPMAD is primarily responsible for the development and execution of the global pricing and market access strategy, and ensuring patients gain access to life changing medicines globally, with a particular focus on key markets. In developing and executing the market access strategy, the GPMAD must demonstrate outstanding strategic thinking and innovative approaches to adapt to a quickly changing payer landscape as well as the development of exciting new science and technologies.

Development and execution of the pricing and market access strategy will be accomplished in collaboration with the Global Brand Team, Global Product Team and key markets. The GPMAD will have to demonstrate exceptional insights, knowledge and influencing skills to be able to bring diverse opinions together and build and execute a strategy meeting the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders. To do this they will develop close collaboration with cross-functional colleagues in the brand teams, Marketing, GMA, Regulatory, Government Affairs, MCs, as well as within the GMAP function.

The GPMAD will lead the approval of pricing and market access strategies through key internal governance processes. This requires strong written and communications skills, as well as advanced stakeholder management.

The incumbent will ensure execution of global strategies through the development of deep relationships with in-market market access leads, while providing strategic thought partnership, support, solutions and challenge to overcome local market access hurdles.

For brands in development:
– Define pricing and market access options for strategic markets for lead indications and that optimize the value of life cycle management opportunities. Ensure these options connect seamlessly with the clients near launch, launch and in-market brands
– Provide a clear commercial evaluation of each strategic option, balancing risks and benefits for the brand
– Deliver credible, commercially viable payer and patient value messages and stories for key payer archetypes in strategic markets to guide development of evidence base
– Provide Pricing and Market Access leadership in development brand teams to ensure all relevant pricing and value issues are integrated into TPPs, strategies and plans
– Collaborate with strategic and key markets on the development and specification of the pricing and market access strategy, value story and supporting evidence base
– Develop clear, customer-focused Value Packs and other core global value materials and ensure acceptance by key markets (Pricing policy, Global Value Pack, Contracting Toolkit, Market Access Launch Strategy, Price and Reimbursement Plan)

For launch brands:
– Develop clear market access & price strategy aligned with brand strategy
– Finalise clear, customer-focused Value Packs and other core global value materials (Pricing policy, Global Value Pack, Contracting Toolkit, Market Access Launch Strategy)
– Collaborate with strategic and key markets to localize value materials, particularly the messaging in local pricing/reimbursement/HTA dossiers
– Ensure local plans and dossiers of key markets are effectively coordinated within GPPS and that the use of key clinical evidence is consistently applied and interpreted across markets
– Support key markets in negotiations with reimbursement authorities
– Provide any necessary revisions to pricing and market access strategies and value stories that optimize the value of life cycle management opportunities and drive differentiation for payer customers
– Work with Government Affairs colleagues to develop plans to support policy requirements for new launches
