IFS Consultant

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a IFS Consultant for a remote based 6 month contract.

General Description of Job:
– Management of the transition of applications into the production environment. Ensure all changes are tested, documented and version controlled
– Working with the Central IT function for the creation and management of the Application Development environments and libraries
– Support the management and delivery of applications and configuration of the relevant installations to ensure continuous service
– Provide a Release Management role for the promotion of application development code and configuration versions between environments
– Responsibility for process and procedures to ensure document configuration management, modification management, build management, version controls, and gate review documentation are adhered to.
– Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for applications. Resolution of issues to a permanent fix
– Implementation of minor changes and new interfaces
– Manage the acceptance and support of applications developed by third party companies. Perform documentation reviews and publish applications into the appropriate environment
– Provide SME input to ensure applications are optimised and monitored for availability, capacity and performance

Key Technical Skills / Experience:
– Good knowledge of IFS 7 SP3.5 – Centura/IEE ERP Application Suite including;
* Centura client
* IEE & Web Portals : Foundation
* Service Management
* Financials
* Call Centre
* Document Management
* Project
* HR
* Mobile
* Distribution
* Procurement
* Time Management
– Good knowledge of Programming Languages, Libraries & DBMS including;
* Oracle Application Express (APEX)
* PL/SQL, SQL (Oracle/T-SQL/ANSI), C#, ASP.NET, ASP, VB 6.0, Winforms, WPF, HTML, CSS, XML, XLS, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, jQuery
* Oracle (8i-11g), MS SQL Server, Java (Oracle JVM)
– Good knowledge of Tools, Applications & principles including:
* PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, Visual Studio 6 – 2013, SSMS, SSRS, Client-Server, Agile
– Worked in a challenging and complex organisation and demonstrable experience of supporting business and technical change
– Ability to deal with and manage conflict whilst building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups
– Resolution of technical application issues and problems with the operational teams
– Experience of working with / through problems and issues to meet agreed SLAs
– Managing the resolution queue of IT software application issues and problems through a Service Desk platform
– Understanding the alignment between technical applications and business requirements
